University of Pennsylvania Hospital is considered one of the best hospitals in Philadelphia. Composed of some renowned healthcare facilities, this hospital has the capability to provide treatment to thousands of patients on a daily basis.
The hospital has one of the most dedicated staff in the United States along with the best technology in order to provide quality healthcare services to its patients. From special care to newborns, to complex surgery, it delivers an excellent service to every patient.
Research shows that University of Pennsylvania Hospital has some of the best surgeons in the region. This year the number of doctors from this hospital voted as best doctors in the United States were more compared to previous years. From minor illness to major issues, this hospital is capable of handling all issues effectively because of its research team which continuously comes up with new therapies to cure various diseases.
In 2011, 37,849 patients were admitted while 1,405,490 outpatients visited this university hospital. The primary function of the hospital is medical and surgery as it accounts for more than half of the bed usage.
