Introduction

Religion was inseparable from life in both ancient civilizations of Egypt and Mesopotamia. The day to day existence and activities of all the citizens were governed by the religious rules. The religions in ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia shared various similarities, for example under both civilizations, King was believed to rule by divine right. However, there are a number of differences in religions of these two civilizations due to different geographical and social conditions.
