Both the public and private police are an essential part of the society. Both of them play an essential role in protecting the society from different misdemeanor and crimes. Whether it is the protection of someone's business or it is the protection of the personnel from any sort of harm or danger. Both public and private police are responsible for the deterrence of crime from the society. The relationship between public and the private police has been a hot topic of debate for many years, because some people think of this relationship between the public and private police from a negative perspective, whereas on the other hand some view this relationship as positive, because of the fact that a strong partnership between the public and the private police would be highly beneficial for both the parties along with the society (Outer Circle Policy Unit, 1978).

However the public and private officers are being thrown regularly more and more often as a result of which this relationship has taken four forms: The public police hire private firms for security, both public and the private police run joint operations, they have a hybrid policy system, the private firms hire the police for providing them security.
