Problem Definition

Down syndrome is a genetic disease. It occurs when a child is born with 47 chromosomes instead of the usual 46. The extra chromosome is associated with chromosome. It causes a delay in brain development and various physical abnormalities. Any child may be born with Down syndrome, regardless of ethnicity, sex and socioeconomic status.
