Graduating as a Registered Nurse is a fact of first order in the life of the proud graduate for several reasons: it is the first transgender Latina goes straight to Washington, DC, the only Hispanic in the group of graduates and be first in the family in obtaining such a degree.

He, along with another twenty-six people, women and men who studied at the School of Nursing at the University of the District of Columbia (UDC) received on Tuesday his "pin" certifying them as Registered Nurses to practice in any hospital.
