Introduction

Reflective learning is the process of self learning. It is the process of learning that takes places between the action and reaction of a person. When a person acts, he is bound to react. This process is known as reflective learning. Reflective learning takes place when a person is engaged in some work. This learning takes place when a person is working for an organization, studying, volunteering or is involved in any event. Reflective learning helps a person in identifying his strengths and weaknesses. It also helps in making sure that the person is performing his work in the best possible manner. Reflective learning helps a person in making sure that he is learning something out of what he is doing. He makes sure that with the help of reflective learning, he is able to do what he is entitled do. This paper will explore reflective learning while volunteering.

Reflective Learning at Work

I work for a charitable organization. I am a volunteer in an old aged house. Old aged house consist of disappointed old people who are not loved by their family which is why they live in old aged homes. The environment of old aged homes is very dull because the people over there are thwarted because they have been left alone by their children, for whom they worked so hard all their life; therefore, working in such an environment makes a person wonder about his future.

I as an individual try to brighten their lives and pray that I do not have the same situation in my future. This thinking helps me in staying motivated to my work.
