Living in a country abroad is a very difficult task for a foreigner, as the individual has to face several issues from communication problems to management of any issue. The individual is not familiar with rules and regulations of the country, and he is not sure whom to go to when in trouble. Moreover, Language and communication problems are the biggest issues for a foreigner. He or she is not able to understand what others are speaking, and the individual fails to communicate with others. I faced the same situation when I came to USA as a foreigner. In this paper, I will discuss my experiences at USA so far and what issues I had to face.
Since, I was new to USA; I did not know the rules and regulations of the country. Even my immigration and journey from China was assisted by my friends and colleagues. When I came to USA, I was blank, and I had no idea on what to do and how to deal with different issues. I was not aware of Traffic issues, my school regulation, laws of the state and etc. When I first entered USA, I had to find a place for my living (G. Doty & Ross, p. 59). Foreigners often face the issue of getting a decent residency. However, I faced serious issues as I was not aware of the processes involved in acquiring a house. I had to stay at my colleagues place for three weeks. In the third week, one of colleagues took me to an organization that helps people to acquire a place for living on rent. After a negotiation of three days, I found a suitable place for living in a small town of Texas on rent. I had to face several issues during the process. ...
