Introduction

The purpose of writing this paper is to orient my reader about my personal life and help the reader find out more about me as a potential EFL teacher. The abbreviation E.F.L. is commonly used as shorthand for the phrase "English as a Foreign Language”. EFL students are people who belong to some other country and came to live in English speaking nation. They are called "English Language Learners" or ELL. The term ESL that is, English as Second language, is also used for the same purpose. Teaching EFL is a difficult task and needs various approaches of teaching to be adopted by the teachers to make sure the students grasp the basics of the language. EFL refers to the teaching of those students whose mother language or first language is other than English (Ward, 2001, pp. 146-167).

Personal Information

My name is David and I am currently residing in Malta (a small island close to Italy). As a requirement of this course, I will be presenting and sharing some relevant personal information relating to my family, interests, experiences, studies undertaken, and future plans.

Family and Work

It is because of my family that I was able to observe my first experiences and my first discoveries. I am thankful to my family for helping me learn and develop in to a responsible person. For me, family is a part of my core values.

I am the youngest brother in my family. My other siblings include two older sisters and an older brother. Our parents has always emphasized the importance of education in life and this is what made me and my siblings pay special attention to our education. We all have successfully finished our Primary and Secondary schooling and continued till Junior college. However, due to financial constraints, we were unable to continue our studies or attain higher education. Being a graduate is a big achievement, but this factor has not underestimated us to achieve our career objectives. Today, by the grace of God, we all are well settled and reaping the benefits of our determination and hard work.
