LO 2: Reflective Statements

Organizational Behaviour (OB) is a field that is pretty much related with the subject of Business Management and Human Resource Management that I have learnt before and after I move into my undergraduate phase. Based upon my knowledge on these subject matters, administration is more about the organisation while for human resource and organisation and organisational behaviour is essentially stressing on the theme of how a human being performs in an organisation and how an administrator are capable to guide his workers to function more resourcefully and competently (Lawler, 2009).

After ten weeks of tutorial sessions on BS213 Work and Organisational Behaviour, I realised this course is extremely attention-grabbing and it had facilitated me to recognize how my performance will influence my actions in a work setting. Organisational Behaviour is a widespread field covering the subject matters of: human resource, teams, and structural arrangement within an organisation. One of the most significant and multi-ethnic issues that companies fact presently is acclimatizing to workers who are diverse. Organisations are turning out to be more diverse in considerations to sexual category, racial discrimination, and customs (Walton, 2010).

I always believe that if individuals are able and talented, it will be an easy victory for them to get an employment after completion of education. On the other hand, OB course had made me realised what I believed was not factual by any means. If an individual is extremely talented but has bad approaches and ideals, they may not get employment or share from corporation effortlessly. In this practical business sphere, every employer looks forward for a candidate that is able, have good approach and principles to function well in their firm. On the other hand, workers with such good qualities are extremely difficult to come across. This had recalled me what I had faced when I used to work for a local company and have experience of HR management.

Looking back then as I was functioning with my employer, I have been attempting to recognize the manners my employer applied to converse with their staff members and manoeuvre the manufacturing works. The company was running a power-driven beds' manufacturing unit. Within the factory, there were only five neighbouring workforce and fifteen overseas labour were operational in the manufacturing unit. So we can observe that it is a small business. If I would like to relate on what I have learnt in this business, I would state my manager (owner of the corporation) is a transformational boss (Goleman; Boyatzis & Mckee, 2002).
