Managing Diversity in the business is interpreted in the context of social diversity within the compnay or the organization. The goal of the managing diversity in the business is to achieve a productive atmosphere in the overall business. Managing diversity in the business is the concept related to eradicating the principles of social discrimination which tends bar minorities from climbing the corporate ladder. However, the concept if diversity is not only related to minorities but it tends to apply equally on very employee and their differences with each other. It would not be wrong to state that Managing Diversity in the Business is actually the name of reducing the differences within the employees to the level where it does not affect company by any means (Alan 2007, p.247). The range of the differences are widespread on one hand it is the externally visible differences, of which the most common are race , ethnicity , age and disability and on the other hand, the subjective differences like sexual orientation , religion and lifestyle.

My Expectations
This section of the paper tends to address my expectations towards this course, or the key elements which I intended to extract from this course. During this course we studied different areas related to discrimination ranging from discrimination based on race, ethnicity to Islam phobia. However, my foremost objective was to study in detail how discrimination within the society can disturb its structure. This course very effectively shaped up my mind that the act of minority cannot be labeled on the majority of that population. Here I would especially like to mention the Islam phobia example that the 9/11 attacks were conducted by a very small minority of the Muslims.
