Recruitment & Selection

[Date of Submission]

The process of recruitment and selecting are two of the most important pillars of the organization, while the recruitment process allows the inflow of the correct and well suitable individuals for the organization, the selection process screens out the individuals even further on from those recruited candidates. This not only allows the overall process to be effective but also provides the organization with the best of the talented individuals that are as appropriately suited for the organization as much as possible. During the process of recruitment and selection process it is important that the recruiter follows certain set of guidelines which in turn serve as the set standards or benchmark for the standard recruitment and selection processes.

Recruitment Process

Recruitment is mostly a two way process, it is not just the individual that is concerned about getting the job but the organization is itself concerned to hire the right individual, which is well suited to its requirements and could be beneficial for it in the long run. Therefore, it is also a part of the recruitment process to recruit the right kind of people and to sell the jobs only to those individuals that are worthy of that job. In order to do so, the recruitment process should be aimed upon selling the jobs to potential candidates by attracting them towards the rightful candidates.

As difficult as it is to get into the right organization, it is equally hard to recruit the right candidate for the job; because not everyone is suitable for every kind of job and those who are, it is difficult to get them to apply for the job and in order to do so it is important that they are offered a right pay, a competitive and attractive future growth and career development and also the nature of job should be as much suitable to their qualifications as possible (Martin, 2009; Torrington, 2010).

On the other hand even out of the many that are recruited, not everyone is actually selected or in other words not everyone goes successfully through the interview process. Thus, it is important that those individuals who are being short listed or who are being interviewed should be getting, if nothing else, a positive experience out of the entire process. This not only encourages others to apply for that particular organization but also gives it an image of a socially good company.
