Eligibility Criteria
The minimum age of eligibility for applying is 21 years. In addition, the applicant should be a U.S. High School graduate or certified by California High School Proficiency Examination. The substitution to the high school criterion is a U.S accredited college degree of duration of two or four years. The requirement in Los Angeles for a Police Officer candidate is his United States citizenship. Whereas, a non-citizen who is a permanent resident, in accordance with the USCIS (U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services) is also eligible (Gaines & Victor, 1992).
Written Examination
This examination is meant to test the aspects of an individual that includes his information ordering, spatial orientation, inductive and deductive reasoning, problem sensitivity, English language oral and written fluency etc. Medical Examination
