There are many types of mass casualties' that are described as follows that are divided into following Bioterrorism, chemical emergencies, radiation emergencies and natural disasters.

There are several strategies that are implemented for the recovery of mass casualty events which include government oversight, corporate fund raising, government funding, public and private philanthropy, policy making and international ramifications and marketing (ncjtc.org)
