In the book, Scratch beginnings, the author Adam Shepard has described the ways of his success in tough circumstances. He drove his life in such a way that he becomes successful in all his plans. The concept of Rags to Riches is usually observed and seen in the United States due to many reasons. The meaning of Rags to Riches is the economic mobility from lower concentration to higher concentration. It denotes to any condition in which an individual boost from scarcity to wealth, or at times from anonymity to prominence. This is a frequent change in the lives of the people in the United State in terms of their lifestyle and living standards. In the United States, there is a lot of personal wealth like never before in the history. This statement makes the argument more evident and strong (Shepard, 123-125).

There are many proofs that the common America and immigrants consider America as the place where they can come out from rags and enter in to the list of rich people's category.
