Racial identity model is mostly used by individual when it aims to transform its birth racial identity. This racial model was commonly used in the book “Cross Negro-to-Black conversion model” (Walker, 2009). Normally, this model is used by individual when they wish to adopt black identity, which in psychological term is defined as “developing a psychological connection with someone's race, rather than just adopting the color of other skin. The process of racial identity transformation is based on five stages that are Pre-counter, encounter, immersion/emersion, internalization, and finally internalization commitment.
