Introduction

A leadership style is basically a style of providing guidance and direction, motivating and managing people, and implementing plans. There is no anything like this that could prove that leaders are born, instead leadership is an attribute and quality of an individual that is acquired and initiates early at school or playground age of a person (Schultz & Schultz, 2010). Some children have the attitudes of taking charge; some are quick in doing friendships, whereas other becomes happy in working as a team. As per Martindale, leadership is founded in habit and experience, not intelligence, as success draws closer 80% from behavior while just 20 % from knowledge (Martindale, 2011).

In this paper, there will be an exploration of the leadership styles by providing suitable and appropriate examples.

Discussion

For this paper, eight different leadership styles will be evaluated and analyzed along with the examples of different people. This analysis is very vital as it helps a recruitment manager to hire specific type of leaders for specific tasks. The details of eight different leadership styles are outlined below:

Charismatic

These types of leaders influence other with their personal powers and acts energetically in motivating the team for moving forward to achieve any goal. They are great self-believer rather than doing belief in their teams. Originally this type of leadership style is used for spurring others for doing any action; for raising the morale of the team; and for expanding the position of the organization in the market.

Oprah Winfrey, as she has influenced thousands of people in the world just through books writing.

Command and Control

These types of leaders follow the rules and regulations and enforce others to act similarly. This type of leadership style if used too much then limits and restricts others' abilities of developing their personal leadership skills. Also, others have smaller chances for debriefing whatever has been learnt by them prior to next meeting with leader (Zeng et al., 2011).

Innovative

These types of leaders have the potentials for grasping the overall situation and goes beyond the limits to achieve anything. They can easily see what is not working effectively or as it was planned and replace that with new actions and thinking.
