Exploring Student's Attitudes to Research Report

Introduction

The study relates to exploring student's attitudes to research report, which is an important aspect to study as students, mostly, do not seek answers to their questions about various topics when they are solving exercises that require a search within the text are often discouraged and quit. Research can be a great tool in building the student's knowledge, so it is necessary, wherever possible, the teacher send some topic for research related to the content in order to contribute to the construction of learning. Through research report, the student has a chance to discover a different world and new things; thus, the teacher has the responsibility to manage and guide students in their search for information, its function is to provide bibliographic references, offering better conditions for research development. Besides acting in guiding the construction of texts from the research material, the teacher should teach how to take the most important parts of the searched content. Another point of great importance that the educator must address is the awareness that research is not a mere copy, but a synthesis of a set of information. For that reason, the study of exploring student's attitudes to research report is a vital aspect to study.

From the above table, it can be noted that the mean age of the students is 33 with the deviation from the mean value of 10. Moreover, the minimum age of the students is 21 and maximum is 63. Besides it, it is also found that the mean total research attitude of the students 148 with standard deviation of 23; the total number of students participated in the study are 33. In view of this, it can be said that the total research attitude of students is high for the towards research report. In addition to this, it is important to know that the mean and standard deviation are the important elements as it defines vital aspect of the variables, thus, keeping this in view, it is observed that among anxiety subscale, career subscale, positive subscale and difficulty subscale; the mean value of career subscale is high as compared to difficulty subscale, anxiety subscale and positive subscale. Furthermore, the standard deviation from the mean value of positive subscale is high for the variable in comparison to among anxiety subscale, difficulty subscale and career subscale.
