Introduction

Quality is essential for every size of business and it is also a unique set of standards that every business must follow order to be recognised over the world. Quality is responsible for saving money, increasing profits, allowing companies to make more businesses, and the most important is the customer satisfaction. Quality leads to the journey of quality management where the companies can get the idea of goals setting, strategic ways for their implementations, certifications by means of achieving their objectives and performing hardworking efforts in order to enjoy the sustainability in their business operations and maintain their positions among their competitors by means of competitive advantage. Thus quality can be defined as:

“Quality is a fundamental relation for every business and it is an ongoing process that is essential for building as well as sustaining the relationships by evaluating, encouraging and satisfying the mentioned needs of customers” (bsi, 2013).

An organisation can take the benefits form the utilisation of effective Quality Management Systems (QMS). This quality management system provides a concept of mutual working of organisation and its suppliers for their mutual objectives. Therefore, a QMS is defined as:

“A Quality Management Systems is a set of principles which are required by the companies in order to perform the coordinated activities that can direct as well as control an organisation for the purpose of continuous achievements and further, improve its effectiveness and efficiencies with respect to the performance evaluation”.

A proper implementation of Quality Management Systems (QMS) for any organisation can be responsible for two important functions. The first thing about QMS is that it provides the ability of an organisation to deliver the desired products and services to the customers by continuously meeting their requirements and potentials with great confidence. The second important function is relating to the performance by which an organisation is able to utilise both of its internal and external resources such as materials, technology, human resources and communication effectively and efficiently in order to achieve its goals with maximum returns and reduce its operation cost as well as reducing the wastes. A good quality management system is responsible for providing benefits including the proper understanding of customer requirement along with goals setting, improving process control, reducing wastes and lowering the operational costs, increasing market shares and growth, facilitating training and involvement of staffs by encouraging as well as motivating them (Department of Trade and Industry, ...
