Quality Function Deployment

Quality Function Deployment (QFD) can be defined as, “a methodology that translate requirements of customer into the service characteristics or the final product”. QFD approach used for planning services and products and interaction of the customer is highly significant for starting the process. QFD methodology introduced in Japan in 1972. It is widely adapted for developing new services and products in different areas. For example: software, service, marketing and education (Chien and Su, 2003).
