Introduction

The project that was initiated in 20054, QSEN has been funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. The project was completed in 2012 and it constituted of three phases. The basic idea and the rational for going ahead with this project was to prepare some of the future nurses with the challenges that they are bound to face in their everyday job. The project also emphasized on how the overall quality and safety of the healthcare system can be improved.
