Introduction

Quality improvement is a very important factor for the growth of any organization. It is more necessary approach in health care sector. In health care sector it is very important to continuously improve the techniques and methods to provide health care service to the peoples and patient. There are many tools used in the quality improvement system that can help in the improvement of performance of the quality of health care service provide by the hospitals (Donabedian, 1997). The most common and effective improvements that can improve performance is the use of value based purchasing system and EHR (Electronic health Record) system. Similarly, there are many tools available that can analyze and display the improvement of the health care service provider. The most common tool is Six Sigma. In this essay, we are going to suggest 3 effective tools that can improve the performance of health care service of Urgent Clinic. In addition with this, 2 tools are also discussed named as Six Sigma and PDSA cycle that helps in analyzing and displaying the improvement data of the Urgent Clinic.

There are many areas available and many tools available that can be help in improving the quality of service provided to the customers in health care service provider of Urgent Clinic. But the most effective of them include the usage of EHR (Electronic health Record) system, introduction of value based purchasing in Urgent Clinic and use of information technology in providing effective emergency service. These tools are discussed below:

Value-based Purchasing tool

Value based health care purchasing is a tool that makes providers of drugs and instruments accountable to Urgent Clinic for both quality and cost. This tool is also very effective and efficient in improving the quality of healthcare service provided in the hospitals as it is effective in reducing the losses. The reason of this quality improvement of healthcare service is that healthcare service mainly depends on the drugs and products purchase from market or other consumers. If the quality of these products and drugs is increased, then automatically the quality of service increased. It allows the hospitals to make their consumers accountable to them for any low quality product or drug.
