In today's society, people spend lifetime to search happiness in their life. It can be said that people will never find true happiness, because as human beings, we do not know what true happiness is. However, once individual achieve the desired dream will he or she become happy? Happiness is money? Through the characters Jay Gatsby's novel "The Great Gatsby", and Christopher Gardner in the movie "The Pursuit of Happyness", true happiness is compared and contrasted, as it relates to the American dream, the two dimensions of the study. The paper shows that what makes people derive themselves for money and how they try to stay happy in their life's. The purpose of the film shows how people in today's modern and rapidly changing world are striving to achieve happiness and success for themselves.(Cole, 2001)

James Gatsby is a person who has completed the first step in achieving the American dream. He has money; he also has a huge house. Unfortunately, he did not get his money in the good old "American way." He did not work honestly for his money. He is a Bootleg liquor pharmacy who has cheated all his life. His motivation for all this money was his only love. Prior to this, to live the life of Gatsby, he wanted no more people in his life. Loneliness was in his heart, he only wanted money in his life, while Gatsby is flashy and rich and with his big luxuries he impresses Daisy, but still Daisy leaves him. (Belly, 2005)

A fairy tale in real and broad picture, "The Pursuit of Happyness" is a fun down smoothly until it gets stuck. It is inspired by a true story which is a reflective paper, because they like answer, the moves detects fade UPS and Chris Gardner, whose attempt to avoid drop down into poverty evolve into a kind of social Darwinism, the proportion of life and death struggle against the terrible ups and downs of his family. This is the early 80s, though Reagan was on TV of bad economic news, Chris is to prove that you do not need the military to fight war on poverty, just big smile and wisdom, the real sturdy shoes.
