Elaboration of the Idea

This research project intends to critique the vital areas of public research. Various studies have highlighted the public policy of constructing and maintaining public libraries for inclining the level of literacy in the country. This research aims to understand and explicate that how the management and promotion of public libraries can contribute in increasing the level of literary.

Kinds of Libraries

The National Library is designed to ensure the safety and availability of all printing and related products released and manufactured according to the state. Regional libraries serve as a branch of the National Library, which is especially important for remote regions of the country. A particularly pivotal role is played by several regional libraries along with the various national libraries that have the vested right to receive legal deposit. Public libraries provide the reader with the most widely used and popular publications. Special Libraries collect a certain type of publication (printed music and books for the blind, state standards, patents, predictions on palm etc.) or certain subjects. The need for special libraries, in some cases is caused by the special conditions of storage media and their use. The most significant reason is associated with the inability to concentrate too many publications in the same room and to work in a single institution.  Proper management of public libraries contributes towards higher level literacy.

Literacy, Management of Libraries, and Public Research

Every developing and developed country encourages the people of the nation to make them literate, and in this purpose, they form strategies that support this approach. One of those supporting programs includes the formation, management, and promotion of public libraries. This research aims to analyze and understand the role and relation of managing and promoting public libraries. This research guides the decision makers in formulating a streamlined effort to persuade people towards education themselves. It will also highlight that what sort of strategies should be adopted, so that people will be benefited more productively. This research proposes that the management and promotion of public libraries have a direct impact on the literacy rate of the country.

This research evaluates the implementation of various literacy achievements in some countries including United Kingdom and Canada. This analysis of the public research on managing and promoting public libraries will give a categorical notion that how this implementation can be evaluated and applied in the context of United States. This implementation will assist the country in encouraging the literacy in United States.
