Psychosocial Processes
The field of social psychology pertains to the discipline that intervenes between the general sociology and general psychology. The function of this domain is to enable the psychological and social capacities to get associated with one another thus forming the psychosocial processes. The psychologist is acquainted with this field in terms of people either as particular group members or just individuals. They intend to avail the benefits of this information and knowledge in situations whether they work with their patients. there are variety of settings in which the health psychologists; it is in clinics and hospitals alongside other medical professionals, in the departments of public health rendering their services on the health promotion programs and large-scale behavior change, and also in the medical schools and universities where they conduct research programs and also teach.
Interaction Skills
The interaction skills are the special type of social skills that are required by every individual in order to perform in the personal and professional lives. They include the communication and interpersonal abilities of an individual through which they can successfully build rapport and establish relationships with others. In the field of healthcare, the interaction skills play an important part in terms of understanding patients' problems, queries, managing their treatments, building trust and confidence in them (Strawbridge, Wallhagen, Cohen, 2002). Especially when dealing with the elderly patients, the physicians and medical experts are required to have immense capabilities of interacting a communicating in an effective manner while showing understanding of their problems and routine.
