Data Analysis
31 people were recruited for the study. The questionnaire was prepared containing the 42 questions related to the psychosocial factors. The data awes collected and evaluated for the influence of psychosocial parameters. The demographic data was also gathered. Mean, standard deviation, t-test and variance is computed.
Stress is found to be the main psychosocial factor of inducing low back pain with the value of standard deviation 2. Anxiety and depression are also the major factors possessing the value of standard deviation as 1. Different outcomes are obtained from the survey. Less than half of the persons stated that they did not have pain. Most of the people do not take any medication for treating the pain in the low back. Data shows that most of the people do not take part in the physical activities for many years and the majority of that population is suffering from the pain. Moreover, they were not suffering from the pain in the past. Usually the pain begins after doing any sport activity or at work.
Discussion
There are various studies carried out in various parts of the world in order to evaluate the influence of the psychosocial factors on the low back pain occurence. The research studies support the fact that psychosocial factors affect the efficient status of their back. The psychosocial factors affect the psychological responses of the individual that ultimate cause the pain in low back. The researches better describe the reason, risk factors alog with the ratio of occurrence among the individuals related to various fields and moreover related to different age groups.
Physical and Psychosocial Risk Factors allied to the pain in Low Back
In 1998, Carina with his colleagues investigated the reasons related to the pain in back pain in the men and women allied with various occupations. They evaluated the relation between physical factors and psychosocial aspects at the work place. They observed the occurrence of LB pain in the daily routine of twenty four hours.
A group was recruited consisting of 232 men and 252 women. The investigating team considered the data of the study carried out in the year of 1969. Data regarding psychosocial as well as physical factors on pain in low back was obtained. Furthermore, the data about the low back pain studies were taken for the year of 1971 to 1993. These data collections were providing the background of the issue of pain associated to low back.
The pervasiveness of the pain in low back for the year of 1969 in both sexes male and female was found to be 24 % and 34 % respectively. Studies showed that the cumulative incidence in the time period of 1970 to 1992 was 43 % in males and 38 % in women.
