In this essay the core concern will be application of Psychology in Health & Social Care. This is going to be done by making us of various related theorized which are related to the stated topic. The discussion will be started with understanding regarding the theories of life span development. Later on the paper will for an understanding regarding the social as well as biological determinants which are affecting human behaviours in the context of health and social cares. Further the discussion is headed towards an in-depth understanding that how these psychological theories are applied to the health and social care related practices. The field of sociology itself seeks for explaining human behaviours by examining the roles of individuals in their social environments. Within any society, there are various individual factors which are able to combine for making an individual's circumstances might be impactful on the behaviours.

1.1 Compare Different Psychological Theories of Lifespan Development

Developmental psychology fundamentally deals with the people and changes which occur in them time to time and how they remain same. The lifespan perspective is the one which starts before the fundamental conceptions and carry on throughout the life until the day of death. People from different all cultural background confronts these situations no matter how different they think they are. There are various Psychological Theories which have been developed so far in the area of concern and some of them have consequence in the form of an everlasting impact. Here two of them are part of discussion and these two will be compared in the end as well;

Freud's Psychosexual Theory

Freud's Psychosexual Theory has the core focus on resolution of psychosexual conflicts as being the basics for development in human beings. These kinds of conflicts are inclusive of weaning infants during their oral stages, toilet training of toddlers during their anal stage, sexual awareness which are usually from the same sex parent during Oedipal stage, consolidations regarding the gender roles in middle childhood in latency stage, and lastly the sexual interests right after puberty while genital stage.

Freud also hypothesis have also considered three other areas within a personality structure, which are id, ego, and superego.
