The scientist-practitioner model is the focus of school psychology programs that targets researchers and academicians for training and facilitation. This model helps in understanding needs of research methods and its implication in school settings to promote practices on empirical grounds (Fagan & Wise, 2007). Educational school psychologists work as practitioners to up lead their career path in one of the following areas:

The objective of this research paper is to communicate all the necessary aspects of building a career in Educational School Psychology (Tod et al., 2011). The changing trends and developing years of the twenty first century characterize initiatives for the public policies and landmark legislations that increased accountability for schools. The No Child Left Behind (NCLB) state agreement between law and school districts in 2001 stimulated accountability and need for assessment and interventions of professionals such as Educational and School Psychologists. The recent research and current statistics show that there is distortion of approximately 15,000 educational school psychologists from the year 2003 to 2020. This shortage of existing and future practitioners increased for concomitant and retirement shortages.

The responsibilities and job description (JD) of educational school psychologists extends beyond lending an ear to troublesome administrators, weakened students, and worried parents about academic efforts of a student. Administration is strengthening part of their job as they are involved in creating, maintaining, and retrieving academic reports and behavioral data.
