Memory refers to the method through which the data or information is encoded, stored, and retrieved whenever required. The process of encoding permits the information from the external world to get into the senses of human beings in the shape of physical and chemical stimuli. Therefore, initially, the information is changes in such a manner that it may be absorbed in the memory's process of encoding. The second memory process or stage is the storage where the information is maintained over long time periods. Finally the information, which is stored is the memory, is retrieved.
