Section 1: Sensation & Perception

The knowledge of the world is totally depended end on the sensory activities a person has for example: Smell, vision, feeling of touch joy and moments of happiness and feeling of sorrow taste, hearing all of the God gifted abilities elaborate the concept of sensation. The concept becomes more evident and crystal clear for the example of a movement of a ball. If a basket ball player bounces a ball towards the basket the years and eyes at the same time pick that stimuli and transfers the message with the help of neurons. After the message is transmitted to the brain it generates some signals, these signals creates an image of the object and sketch of a picture is developed on the olfactory lobes. This procedure is termed as sensation which occurs when body stimuli generates signal and these signals creates the image. The whole process takes place in less than a nano second. On the other hand, most of the people termed sensation as part of Perception or may be they are unable to discriminate the differing factors.

Sensation and perception are the two complimentary concepts but they differ in the interpretations. The difference among the two can be explained as Sensation is one in which we judge the environment through feeling and emotion, or we can judge the lightening through watching. At the same time the information about the whole scenario is transmitted to the brain and this process is termed as transduction. The information send to the brain is perceived by the neurons and then an image of the whole scene is created. Perception here is defined an s the way we see things. But the concepts are linked with each other because Perception is simply defined as the way we sense things and therefore we create image of the things around us.

Section 2: Memory

Psychologist Lenore Terry, a supporter of reserved memory treatment is on the view that Memory is defined as the ability to retain various experiences and events. It may include facts and figures (numbers), information about some personal or other thing (people or place) etc. There are people whose power of retaining things and facts are so high that they have a competitive edge on others. The unconscious memories of childhood can be recovered according to my own belief because they are remained in some corner of our mind. Those people who faced a number of traumas and negative experiences never forget their memories. Research suggests that children even in their young ages who experience sexual abuse never forget this and even they are afraid of it. This experience would had a great impact on their personality and most of the physiologists are on the view that in later ages people remember these memories and faces a number of issues, examples have shown that some people would also become mad even.
