Introduction

The purpose of this paper is to present my personal knowledge regarding the theories, practices and principles which can be used in the treatment and care of psychiatric patients. In addition to this, the nursing theories, techniques and procedures of treating psychiatric patients are also discussed in the proceeding paper. This study also incorporates my knowledge about the medications that can be used in the treatment of psychiatric patients. I also discussed the risks and benefits of these medicines in this study.
