Reason for choosing Prokaryotic Genome

The pathogen that has been selected for studying in this project is Prokaryotic Genome. There are numerous reasons why this partcualr pathogen has been selected among others. While replication is a very complex process but develops with great constancy, DNA replication in prokaryotes is bidirectional. This is mainly because it progresses from the point of origin in two opposite directions since there are two points of growth (PC) or replication forks.
