Project (Unit Plan)

Introduction

Through the physical education class, children learn, perform and create new forms of movement with the help of various forms of plays, play, recreation and sports. In these classes the child can cope, be creative and show your spontaneity as a person who wants to find many alternatives that may be applicable in the future in their social life and who cannot easily achieve in other subjects of knowledge. To speak of a complete education, in which no aspect of man is left to chance, we must consider (and this is nothing new) body and mind as one unit, so that physical education should not be located within the program ranks as the younger sister of intellectual disciplines, but at a level of parity as a help to the other achievements for the development of increasingly complex. Let's go to an everyday example quite easily observed. It suffices to note the progress in the drive to warn children of three years when we work with them from the body space and the cognitive simultaneously using the trace on the paper and yard work in chalk, the children go recognition, indicating, pointing, marking, observing limits (inside and out, up and down) and so on (Bjork, 2008). This unit will help students understand the importance of health, and things that need to be avoided in order to spend a healthy life.

Food, Nutrition and Physical Education

When middles school students are learning about health, most of the time the health lesson plans begin with food, nutrition and physical education. Students learn about the importance of eating a well-balance diet, how to read labels in the grocery stores, and from the cabinets (Harris, Thoresen, 2005). Students also learn what foods should be staple foods in our everyday diet. The importance of physical fitness is also taught within the health education lesson plans, so that students know how important it is in the overall health of an individual.
