Project Scoping Report

Introduction

Ausi-Print is a new business proposed by us. We work to be an established printing company in Melborne, Australia, but wishes to open a larger-format printing company in the underserved market of the area. In addition to large-format printing, Ausi-Print will offer ancillary services such as basic layout/graphic design, packaging/shipping, and installation. Ausi-Print specializes in large-format printing applications such as vehicle wraps, outdoor banners, posters, and tradeshow graphics. Ausi-Print is located in Melborne city with approximately 7,000 organizations and businesses and 165,000 residents. This paper provides a project scoping report of Ausi-Print for starting a new printing venture.

Discussion

The name of this online graphic and printing business will be “Ausi-Print”. The Ausi-Print is a new graphics company that will provide other business with graphics and printing services. The company will be located in Melborne, Australia and it will function from a downtown office. The Ausi-Print will be an online supplier of graphic and printing. (Raz, 2008)

Definition Of The Scope Of The Project

Defining the scope of project makes the arena for starting a project plan. Project scope is a description of the last product or goal of the project—a service or product for customer/client. Clearly, project scope is the keystone interlocking all elements of a project plan. If the project scope needs to change, it is critical to have a sound change control process in place that records the change and keeps a log of all project changes. The log identifies the change, impact, and those responsible for accepting or rejecting a proposed change. (Ashley, 2007)

From museums and sporting arenas to trade shows and hospitals, large-format printing is making a major impact for advertisers and organizations of all types. In recent years large-format printing technology has advanced rapidly, offering customers greater capabilities, higher-quality, and more options. Examples of large-format printing include:
