Introduction

Project is work or task that has to be performed by an individual or group on specific topic or task provided by the management of educational institute or organization. Project management is an important tool to transform strategy into results. The management of a project have to apply the knowledge, tools, techniques, and skills to project activities to attain expected results. This report is about a group project based on information technology. The project was designed to provide supermarket (Tran et.al, 2013 pp. 232). Mobile application development for supermarket provides assistance to users of spices. The act of planning is part of the human story, as the desire to make dreams come true objective is striking a concern of everyone.

Planning is the process of seeking balance between means and ends, between resources and objectives, aimed at improving the functioning of companies, institutions, industries, labor organizations, group and other human activities (McCown et.al, 2013 pp. 85). The act of planning a project is always the reflection process, decision-making about the action; forecasting process needs streamlining and employment resources (materials) and (human) resources available, aiming at the achievement of objectives, specific deadlines and milestones defined from the evaluations results (McCown et.al, 2013 pp. 85).

This section is all about the critical assessment of an engineering project conducted by the students about the development of mobile application. Critical assessment includes estimate activity resources, estimate activity duration, resource requirement plan, scheduling for information system development, documentation, technical analysis, critical success factors, and estimate activity cost.
