Corporate culture and project management

What is project management?

A project is temporary in that it has a defined start and end on time, and therefore a scope and resources defined. A project is unique in the sense that it is not a routine operation, but a specific set of operations to achieve a particular goal (Schwalbe, 2010). Thus, a project team includes people who usually do not work together sometimes coming from different organizations and multiple geographies. The development of software for business process perfected the construction of a building or a bridge, the relief effort after a natural disaster, the expansion of sales into a new geographic market, they are all projects. Everyone should be managed in a specialized way to present the results, learning and integration necessary for organizations on time and on budget. Project management, therefore, is the application of knowledge, skills and techniques to execute projects effectively and efficiently. It is a strategic competency for organizations, allowing them to unite with the results of projects with business objectives - and thus better compete in their markets (Futrell, Shafer, & Shafer, 2001).

This is the main reason behind the successful project management of Apple Inc. being aware of the limitations and then behaving delicately in the context of those limitations is another important part which Apple has ...
