Introduction

Projects should be managed properly in order to derive the desired results. Managing a project is one of the difficult tasks, as it determines the future of a company. Whether, a project is small or large, if not managed properly could adversely affect the performance and position of any company. Thus, companies should critically examine the roles individuals and planning can play in appropriately managing a project. This paper aims to identify the project management plan for Air Euro, in order to help the company to properly execute it plan of relocating its head office to a place where, Air Euro can accommodate about 300 personnel, however, the existing office does not have the capacity to accommodate 300 personnel (Gubrium & Holstein, 2000, 487-508).

Background of the Project

Air Euro is an airline based in Netherland, with its head quarter in Schiphol Airport, Amsterdam. The company started to compete in airline industry as a commercial airline 10, years ago. Ever since the beginning of the business, the company continues to grow, because of unique operating as a low cost airline. The company after witnessing great response from the passengers of Air Euro has now decided to expand (approximately double) its fleet in the next five years. This expansion, at the one end demands the recruitment of pilots and cabin crews, at the other end this expansion also demands increase in the administrative staff to monitor and manage support the expanded business activities. However, the head office of Air Euro is already employing two hindered employees and there is not room for any further recruitment. Thus, company requires relocating the head office in the proximity of air port within next six months, to execute its plan for expanding the fleet size in coming five years. Thus, the company has divided the projects into two different phases, one is to leasing an office in the proximity of the air port, second, is the expanding the fleet size (Carpenter, 2007, 208-221).

This report will focus on the both phases of the project, which is acquiring the appropriate building for the office first, and then strategy to expand the fleet size. In this connection, the project plan would initially review the scope of the project, and will than identify the potential risks the company may face regarding expanding its fleet size. The plan would also recommend different key responsibilities regarding the project and appropriate personnel to execute the main tasks. Finally, the stud would conclude by describing projected milestones of the project.

Scope of the Project

Reviewing the scope of the project is crucial, as this will help in understanding the significance of the project, and will help to understand the responsibilities to be undertaken.
