Abstract

The interview was conducted from the Jane Benson, who was involved in the teaching profession at k-12 education environment. Being good in science subjects, Jane's dream was to be in a teaching profession. At the moment, Jane had a teaching experience of almost 11 years and she is going great in the teaching field. The purpose of learning and teaching for a teacher, then the person who designs the learning students, who have an active and constructive mind and encourages them to participate, research, knowledge production is independently and interacting with others.

Secondly, Jane showed a very humanistic way towards the impact of science on life. Scientific knowledge has led to remarkable innovations of great benefit to humanity. It's not pure science applied science, applied science there is no technology. Among those things that work, science soon reached center stage. On the one hand teacher is willing to accept the whole responsibility for teaching and education of children and youth in school through- wear. This responsibility gives the company the teachers liked. In regard of the theme that teacher serving the society; I came across the point of view of pedagogy and education, essentially, synthetic. From the point of view of education, then, the synthesis is heard and implemented not only intellectually, synthesis of concepts and reasoning that, but as a cultural synthesis in the deepest sense of the word, as the acquisition of concepts and issues from a intellectually, but also as a concept and system `experience 'of life.

Interviewee Context

The interview was conducted from the Jane Benson, who was involved in the teaching profession at k-12 education environment. Jane was the eldest child of her parents having 3 other siblings. Being good in science subjects, Jane's dream was to be in a teaching profession. After completing her high school, she involved herself with the community schools for the sake of getting experience; however, after completing the college, this was the time when Jane decided to choose the teaching as a profession. She started her profession from a middle-school where she taught science subjects for almost 5 years. Furthermore, she moved on and started teaching in the high school. At the moment, Jane had a teaching experience of almost 11 years and she is going great in the teaching field.

Interview Report

Throughout the interview, the interviewer tried to keep the interview simple and straight. Therefore, the interviewer focused and transformed the interview on three basic themes, which were: Purpose of teaching and learning, impact of science on life, and teacher really serving the society. The reason behind selecting these three main themes was that I know Jane had a vast teaching experience and her knowledge would up to date, therefore, asking questions based on the specific themes will not disturb Jane and she will be quite happy from my questions.
