Introduction

Professional and community organizations, industry and non-profit organizations are some of the most important participants in the activities of the society. These include unions, associations, foundations, professional guilds and nonprofit partnerships (associations), etc. They can act both as independent entities, and as the organizers (co-organizer). However, the role of professional organizations cannot be overlooked in the development of individuals and their career (Sutarto , 2002). Considering the importance of professional development, this essay will be focusing on the role of professional development organization in technical and career education identifying the major professional organization.

Part-I: The Role of Professional Organization

The evolution of the economic and social conditions in the modern world favors undoubtedly the formation of groups. In order to tackle with the problems they are facing, the isolated individual and their small businesses are reduced towards their own resources, and they feel impossible to solve their problems. The claims from individual have no effect on the complex mechanisms that regulate daily life, and economic means that are available to individuals and are not enough when it comes to making some major projects (Shannon, 2007). Moreover, it is increasingly difficult for government agencies to be responsible for carrying out any program, a policy and acts alone on each of the individuals and normally should be directed to groups representing interests in litigation, which favor their action and even can become valuable aids in fulfilling the tasks entrusted to them. It is therefore not surprising that many groups interested in issues pertaining to the professional development are organized and continue to organize in countries where these problems are of some economic and social importance. These associations play an increasing role in guiding and professional development of the members.

Furthermore, the other main role performed by the professional organizations is to establish standards used in everyday business. This is a very important part of many areas of business activity that can be related to accounting, law, management or anything else. The second feature of professional organization is related to the union of professionals to ensure that they participate in the development and understanding of the general performance standards, which can be used in the industry in the country and internationally (Mastrangelo & Lorenzet , 2004). It is important that, when there are changes in the conditions for the profession (for example, start to apply new technologies); the entire profession or industry could adapt innovations in unified form. That is, in a sense, is a response to market changes and how these changes can and should be applied to a particular profession.
