Introduction

Assisted Reproductive Technologies (ART) helps in resolving the miseries of infertile women; while these do not come without ethical concerns and aspects. There are a number of techniques that can help in impregnating n infertile woman while she is not equipped with a womb to conceive her off springs herself. Human rights are applicable in private relationships, so that the right to life, dignity, physical integrity, the right to health, privacy, personality, to human reproduction and identity come into play in assisted human reproduction systems. These techniques affect the marriage, parenthood, the investigation of paternity, inheritance rights, freedom of contract, general principles and family law institutions. Hence, it is clear that there are certain ethical considerations that are surely subjected to speculation and investigation; while supporting or rejecting the concept (Suzanne et.al, 2001).

Human reproduction may not be the product of the sexual acts but technical procedures can also be conducted by qualified personnel. Tens of thousands of children were born through in vitro fertilization technique, commonly known as IVF. This method of contacting a sperm and an egg outside the female reproductive system solves numerous problems of infertility. Procred Egg Donation is a profound technique in vitro fertilization that gives rise to test-tube babies. Critical Analysis

According to Statistics of the “American College of Fertility and Reproduction”, at least 11% of the world population may be infertile. This gives us an idea of the magnitude of the problem. Egg Donation came as a blessing to infertile couples who could afford to have a baby followed by this donation of eggs from another fertile woman. While this technique proved to be beneficial for the sterility and fertility of the aggrieved couples; it also posed certain threats to the new life that is born as a result of such donation along with its impact on the society (Green, 2001).

History of Issue

The first IVF was performed in the year 1973. While the pregnancy lasted only a few days, was the beginning of a series of experiments that eventually would be successful. In 1981, a total of 14 pregnancies and 9 live births were obtained through this new medical technology (Robert &Tollefsen, 2008).
