Introduction

There are various efforts to look for the proper system in order to provide best solution for the problems and issues. Behavioral studies deals with identifying various approaches and technique in order to provide better solution for resolving most of the problems associated with the people. These problems can be of variety and range of different perspectives associated with resolving the problems (Harrison & Bramson, 2002). One of the most important aspects associated with the problem is critical thinking. It is the most important measure in order to resolve any problem and to achieve success, according to Ruggiero (2012), “successful problem solving and issue analysis require factual knowledge”. Therefore professional problem solvers require considering both important aspect of problem solving, factual knowledge and professional thinking (Ruggiero, 2012). On the basis of this it requires that proper understanding begins with the identification of problem and issue and ability to distinguish problem from issue.

Discussion

Ruggiero in Chapter seven of his book “The Art of Thinking” deals with a number of different aspects associated with the expressing of problems and issues. He clearly identifies and distinguished issue and problem on the basis of different issues. This includes a number of different examples in order to resolve an issue or the problem.

Clearly state both the problem and issue.

Problem solving or issue solving is the most common concern for the business professionals and managers as they have to deal with a number of different problems on the regular basis. Sometime they have to tackle problem with clients, sometime they deal with the office staff and some time have to deal with the boss. This requires looking for the most efficient ways to deal with these situations (Jensen, 2011). This requires proper identification of issues and problem.
