More than seven million adult citizens are imprisoned or kept under regimes of freedom controlled by the prison system in America; A record of all time for this nation and even for the entire planet. According to numbers released this week by the Department of Justice, one in every 31 adults is under the supervision of judicial authorities, including an unprecedented number of 905,000 African Americans.
