Introduction

Proper management and supervision play a very important role in determining the success of any organization. Not only that but all companies organize their business operations to deliver ideal outputs.

Many organizations are running their operations smoothly. If we try to get an insight we would know, these organizations have defined roles and processes. The secret of success lies in effective supervision, efficient communication between human resources and well-defined procedures. Therefore, it is essential to understand the role of appropriate management within an organization. It is also important that we understand the challenges and address them accordingly. Organizations are always looking for motivated individuals, finding a valuable resource is yet another challenge. The hiring department has to consider a lot of things before hiring a person. Besides qualification and experience, the department has to look for a person who best fits the job.

The main purpose of this assignment is to develop a clear understanding of a typical organization. This coursework discusses the role of supervisors and various challenges faced by them. Management is the process of gaining, organizing, and employing an array of vital resources so that, they contribute towards the success of an organization. The management has to be effective and efficient at the same time. Management is effective and efficient if management is able to achieve goals with minimal resources. Supervisors play a vital role in the management process. Planning

This function of the management process develops plans based on aims and goals of the organization. The planning procedure also creates policies, operation guidelines, standards and regulations. The supervisor educates the employees about policies and procedure. He is also responsible for producing work schedules and timelines. Supervisors and managers have more or less same kind of work to do. Yet we cannot treat them alike. This is because of the difference in the authority and responsibilities.
