From the above list two agencies have been selected and these agencies are; North Memphis community development corporation and Hickory Hill community development corporation.

Northern Memphis Community Development Corporation

The agency meets the need of creating and preserving affordable housing for the community people, they encourage sense of community life in them by involving them and taking their commitment. The community of North Memphis was once a rich community with vibrant people. Recently the community is facing many challenge and issues. Some of the businesses were able to survive and housing stock is old and in poor condition. There are two sever problems which are under-education and unemployment. The community is also facing problems of drug-infested and prohibitive. In 2000, the northern Memphis community development corporation was formed to meet these needs and requirements of the community. Their target market is the community of northern Memphis and their aim is to rebuild their community (www.memphistn.gov).

Hickory Hill Community Development Corporation

This community development corporation is also non-profit organization and providing services to fulfil the need and requirements of the community. The main issues from which Hickory Hill is dealing are gangs, property deterioration, safety and security by controlling crimes in the neighbourhoods, encouraging education success, personality development of the teens, building moral values in the children and graffiti. They are also addressing the basic needs of the community like clothing, food, employment, medical care and shelter. They provide these facilities by building network with other established community programs. They help families emotionally, socially, economically and physically. They also offer personal development, life rehabilitation, vocational and employment preparation (www.hickoryhillcrc.org).
