Homicide is an act of violence and aggression committed against a fellow human being with the intent of harming them and it results in the death of the victim. In simpler terms, it is the murder of one individual at the hands of another. In the trends and statistics available as far back as from the 1960's it has become evident that the United States of America is top five among those countries which have the highest homicide rate in the world. Discussion
Homicide is the act of killing another individual for any reason, ranging from personal vendetta, gain or even spite. As abhorred and despised as act is, however it is very prevalent in the world nowadays. In the US, even with ample amount of securities and police monitoring there is still a huge homicide rate evident in its wake. As mentioned before more than 16799 people die each due to homicides. This is no small number, even though any number in murder is too high, however the deaths measuring in 1000's show that there is a need for identifying the reasons which provoke such high aggression and violence in the people. Through these researches, it was concluded that they are major reasons for high homicide rates in any country. These three cultural and structural contexts are material, integrative, demographic and cultural.
