Since the emergence of computers they have dominated and influence3d various fields of interest. The hardware of the computer has the capability of processing raw data into useful information rapidly. However, this ability of the computer was of interest in the fields of science and technology, the business world was impacted by the computer only after the emergence of software especially dedicated software which were easy to use and automated various complex functions of the business world. The software which has influenced the world to the largest extent is word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software, and database management software.

Word processing, spreadsheets, and database management have their own respective functions in the field of business but PowerPoint is the most used tool of the business world. Power point was created in the year 1987 and since its formation the business world uses it in various forms to conduct the ideas and concepts during their presentations to their clients and in some cases during internal meetings. Since, the year 2000 onwards power pointy has been globally accepted as a very robust technique of teaching as well. The influence of power point has been so strong in the educational sector that it is not only incorporated in the teaching technique of university students of doctorial level and masters level but also in the students of high school and middle level section(Frey & Birnbaum, 2002).

People who support power point as a technological aid for education advocate the use of this software for various reasons. Firstly PowerPoint facilitates the instructor to share more information in fewer spans of time, secondly it saves time as the instructor does not need to erase and re - write or re - draw on the board for explanation. PowerPoint gives the instructor to get into the details of the subject by adding video clips, multimedia files, and images for the better understanding of the listener. PowerPoint gives the listener an opportunity to listen to the lecture and simply copy the slides at the end of the session increasing the understanding ability of the listener. PowerPoint is also credited for incorporating not only images but graphs and statistics tables which is some times of great importance while teaching.
