Power of Love and Relationship

Introduction

Love is an inevitable feeling having mysterious powers that helps building and keeping stronger relationships. All human beings are social animals, by nature, and were not created to exist in a solitary state. They need to develop relationships and bonds, of love, with other people. However, there are many different types of love and attractions.

The assignment discusses the power of love and relationships by shedding light on the factors causing attraction and the needs to develop relationships. Further, the assignment explains the three types of love with examples of each type of love and the similarities and differences between them. Lastly, Stemberg's Triangular Theory of love is explicitly explained by distinguishing between romantic and empty love and infatuation. All humans have a distinct need of belonging to someone and they need to be dependent upon other people, with variable intensities of social interaction to keep them alive and happy. This interaction is developed through different types of attractions that people feel for each other.

There are several factors that cause attraction such as:

Physical Attraction- the degree to which a person's physical qualities or individualities act as a cause of attraction,

Proximity- allows developing attraction towards someone, when we are spending a great amount of time with them,

Similarity- attracting towards someone, who is, similar to us on the basis of demographics, ...
