Introduction

Two different kinds of power are represented by the two different worlds known as politics and religion. The credibility is lost by the church, and the individual rights of people are trampled upon when politics is mixed with religion by governments, and it has been clearly demonstrated by the history. During other social events and family gatherings one must stay away from politics and religion. Especially in the waning days of this campaign, we still hear and see about them everywhere (Shuger, 1997, pp. 132). A fairly high number for a country that prides itself on the separation of state and religious diversity has been represented by the fifty six per cent of the Americans for whom religion is an important perspective of their lives, and a high importance has been placed by them on religion.

In politics, an immense role is played by the religion - to swaying voters to vote for one candidate or another from influencing politicians to vote. Especially in the political field to increase religious diversity, although the issue remains polarizing, strides have been made by the America.

Discussion

In the United States, a pivotal figure in the establishment of religious liberty is the life of Roger Williams that exhibited a good example. He was spurned by the civil and religious authorities of his time, from the very beginning.
