Any discussion concerning mobility, and the social class would be deficient without discussing the issue of poverty. Poverty is something that is extremely hard to define in words. It could either have an economical, social, and psychological meaning. Poverty as a social issue is deeply entrenched wound which permeates each and every dimension of our society and culture. Poverty includes the sustained low levels of income for the members of the society. Along, with that it also includes the lack of access to some of the most essential services such as health care, education, lack of decision making ability, and lack of certain communal facilities which includes supply of clear water supply, sanitation, constructions of roads, and a good source of transportation for effective communication. Moreover, it is the poverty of the human spirits which allows the members of a society to believe in and share the timidity, hopelessness, apathy, and despair. Certain factors that are associated with the problem of poverty contribute towards the development of many social problems inside a society. Historically there are an extensive amount of reasons that have caused poverty the reasons includes; wars, conquests, and slavery (WEDDERBURN, 1974).
