The counseling profession requires one to understand and resolve problems of people who are faced with numerous challenges. It requires a deep understanding of one's environment and the environment of their clients. We can agree to the author's point of view regarding the need of the current counselors to transform their methodologies from modern to post modern. The current counselors are “locked” in modernism as they seek equilibrium; work to reduce tension, endeavor for order and normality in their selves and in their clients.
