As the conception of postmodernism refers to an intransigent stereotype, it is usually used for describing writers or critics who believe in no objective reality or absolute truth. Basically, postmodernism is a theory of sociology. To understand postmodernism, it is necessary to understand the two definite facets of modernism. Postmodernism is a complex terminology, or set of ideologies, that has emerged as a discipline of academic study since the 1980's mid. Probably, the convenient way to initiate judgment about postmodernism is by judgment about modernism, and the movements from which the concept of postmodernism seems to emerge or grow. The contemporary period in history has been termed by various critics of postmodern as well as contemporary age in order to make understanding of the eras in which they are currently living. Although such critics would certainly run into several complexities of living in history as one still does not know which cultural elements will prevail and one does not always identify the restrained and persistent ways that the changes that takes place in the society ultimately influence the individual's ways of thinking and living in this world (Anderson, 1995).

The terminology of postmodernism is an objective of scorn and celebration, both in cultural vernacular and intellectual discourse. Through repetitive uses and long-lasting controversies, it has implicit various kinds, inclusive of influential resources. For instance, it is used for analyzing cultural forms that are self-conscious, a lightening rod of politics, and a cultural truism that describe anything that looks innovative, unfamiliar, or contravening. The vagueness of this terminology curtails partly from the vast work that comprises sufficiently engaging and conceptualizing post-modernity phenomena. This terminology is used for describing the historical era that has apparently thrived modernity (Benhabib, 1995).
